| THE SPITFIRES COMMEMORATE QUEEN'S DIAMOND JUBILEE WITH SINGLE "SUFFER KATE" |
To commemorate sixty glorious years of "Her Madge" Queen Elizabeth the second's reign, Perth's very own Indie Terrorists The Spitfires will be releasing a delicate ode to everybody's favourite fucked up nuclear family. Written in 2011 in honour of the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, the track received its debut in the UK prior to the big event. Fasterlouder were on hand to discuss it with front man Sean Regan during an interview that January... http://soundcloud.com/thespitfires/sufferkate

| 'THE SPITFIRES' ENLIST NEW DRUMMER |
'THE SPITFIRES' ENLIST NEW DRUMMER FROM 'THE BULLET HOLES', WHO INSISTS ON MUSIC WITH ATTITUDE The Bullet Holes split up in February this year after spending 5 years working hard in the WA music scene, releasing 2 EPs, a couple of singles, and winning prizes in various band competitions. Now without a group, Bradley Stevens has been invited to play for The Spitfires, the very band that he booked to support The Bullet Holes for their farewell show, and feels right at home in the english pop-rocker's line-up. Bradley has said: "I've had plenty of experience and I know what I'm doing on a drum stool, but I still wouldn't offer my time to any random band. The Spitfires have a similar purpose to what The Bullet Holes did... they're charged up on social-awareness which they've infused into pop-rock, and that takes my fancy. I want to play music with attitude and passion, so when Sean Regan invited me to audition, I made it my goal to have that spot". |
| WEBSITE |
THE SPITFIRES WEBSITE BACK ONLINE Hi everyone, As you will have noticed the website has been down for a while and has a lot of the old content missing. Well while we were off on our little tour of the UK our site got hacked by a bunch of unscrupulous fraudsters and a fake bank got installed into the middle of it. Considering how outspoken we've been on the whole issue of the banking crisis this was ironic to say the least! However all has been restored and we're slowly rebuilding the page. In the meantime you can head over to our facebook page for a free download and a list of upcoming shows, we've even got a lovely live clip of the band to keep you amused until we get the site back up and running. |
